Alleys have always fascinated me. Probably too many years of watching my favourite film noir movies, like "The Third Man". Nowadays the only thing that's changed is what I define as an alley, since as the buildings in modern cities have evolved so have the spaces between them. They're still the places where I feel a palpable sense of foreboding and where interesting things may yet happen.
